Educating tamariki through dance
As a centre, you can now add movement and dance to the extracurricular activities you have on offer. All we need is a room spacious enough for the number of children in each class. Our movement and dance programme was crafted with kiwi tamariki in mind. Using stories, props, music and dancing, our wonderful kaiako help educate and inspire the next generation! While dancing and having fun, they will also learn about their world, themselves and the importance of being active.
Working alongside Te Whāriki
Our programme was designed to work alongside the principles of Te Whāriki. In our classes, the well being of the children both emotionally and physically is protected and nurtured through opportunities to grow their confidence and develop a love for an active life.
The children develop a sense of belonging and their contribution is encouraged throughout the classes by allowing them to make choices about how to dance, move and explore. Through this, the children learn both verbal and non-verbal skills which intercross to other areas of their social and personal development.
Learning through active movement and exploration of their body and environment, our students develop and gain confidence and control of their bodies.
Designed for you
With extensive experience in the NZ Early Childhood Education sector, our movement and dance programme was developed to work within our ECE centres.
We cater our services around your needs- we offer morning and afternoon sessions to best suit your schedule, we split our classes to best cater to the different ages (toddlers and preschoolers) , as well as many other advantages of a programme designed to be a fantastic addition to every centre.
Lockdown Online Class Information
Our online programme allows you to cater for the children & teachers back at the centre as well as staying connected with the families still at home.
We livestream classes on Monday mornings at 10am.
Centre bubbles are able to join alongside their teachers (Tv or projector needed) and parents are also able to join from home.
We provide activity sheets, videos and we are also happy to communicate directly with the families (StoryPark/Educa).
We know how hard it is to create distance-learning content- let us help you with that!
Pricing Options
We offer a range of term payment options to suit every budget. Cost per week (+ gst):
Centre funded: $7 per child
Parent funded: $10 per child
Co-funded: $5 centre, $5 parent
